The most fabulous ginger (updated)

I forgot Josh Homme the Ginger Elvis! Sorry Damian Lewis, you are relegated to second.

Have been researching NZ Christmas stuff. How bout this for a load of tinselly bollocks
"They (New Zealanders) celebrate the story of the birth of Jesus Christ with a special service, which is appropriate to New Zealanders way of life as they had no motels, and they have many shepherds who take care of their flocks, in doing so they can see the true meaning of Christmas".

Weather buffs - BBC site on climate change has scrolly of top 10 hottest and coldest weather forecasts - it seems to have lows of about -26 or so and highs of 38. Endlessly fascinating, and a good geography lesson.

The BBC

They rock!

Spunky Shakespeare updates featuring the most fabulous gingerhaired man of all Damian Lewis and the lovely Rufus Sewell. There are quizzes so you can find out what Shakespeare character you are. I am Lady Macbeth. Maybe cos I like the perfumes of Araby, the colour red and Bloody Marys.

There is also a fabulous looking drama called Rome, a co-production between HBO and BBC.

Seinfeld

I keep getting Seinfeld out of Video Ezy. Episodes are a breezy 22 minutes and it is so damn good to laugh out loud. Just loving George.
G : "I don't want hope. Hope is killing me. My dream is to become
hopeless. When you're hopeless you don't care. And when you
care, that indifference makes you attractive."
J : "So, hopelessness is the key?"
G : "It's my only hope."
- George and Jerry, in "The Fix-Up"
George quotes

He is even in Wikipedia! Go Biff!

Blythe

Piccies of the blythes I have on order

to join my Perfect Rosey Red

update 18 December

- Cheerleader is here! Bear girl - may not be able to get, Pink Lolita in transit

Puppy on a date and Hollywood Hills party seem to be winging their way too NZ too. Will see! Nothing like having a nice package from Tokyo on your desk at work. Can't decide whether I should enter the lottery for Rendevous Chouchou but she is pretty damn cute with her little puppy and pink hair.

Funeral songs & other musical interludes

Here's my two biggies: Brompton Oratory by Nick Cave - love, sex, death, God, vampires, beauty and Nick, what more do you need.
and Consummation by Nina Simone - similarly swaggeringly epic.

One of my faves is one off the Singing Detective soundtrack:
Blues in the night
My mamma done told me,
when I was in pigtails,
My mamma done told me, Hon,
A man is a two-face
he'll give you the big eye,
And when the sweet talking's done.
A man is a two-face,
A worrisome thing who'll leave you to sing,
The blues in the night

Antonioooooooohhhhhhhhh!

Thanks to Moata and Emma for hooking me up with Desperado.
Here is the hottest man in Christendom.
